Visit From a Friend
A good friend came to visit
After many long-past years --
We laughed and talked "forever,"
red suede handbagsMany smiles and yes, a few tears.
It was so good to re-connect --
To be close -- not far apart;
To be together once again
And feel that warmth within my heart.
Time and distance can not sever
Memories old and new;
This friendship will continue to last forever;
We've made a dream come true.
